This page provides a simple bar counter, designed to be used as a guide when performing electronic music.

In the top box, you can set the counter speed in bpm. It can also be defined directly in the URL by adding **?bpm=240** to the page address.

It's a bar counter with four beats per bar, and it's activated by clicking on 1.1.

Below the dividing line, we have two values. The first value indicates the next bar where a 16-bar section will be completed. The following value is also a multiple of 16 but offset by 8 bars. By clicking on these numbers, we can offset the values by 1 (to indicate in which bar we're entering, instead of when the 16-bar cycle is completed).

At a glance, we can see which bar we're in, and two bars where we can make the next change (one less than 8 bars away, the other less than 16). By making changes in sections with a number of bars that's a multiple of 8, we ensure a very robotic structure, suitable for techno.
